One of the last greatest civilizations of antiquity that has been recognized is Axum. The kingdom of Axum was as wide as the present day Sudan, Eritrea, Yemen, SOmalia and some parts of Saudi Arabia combined. More than 300 kings has ruled in Axum and their kingdom was one of the only four powerful kingdoms of the world.
This mysterious town is known for being a home for the Queen of Sheba, and resting place of the Ark of the Covenant. Amongst the uniquely carved ancient stelas are many other archeological riches from the Axumite Empire waiting to be discovered.
